We were so very happy to welcome a couple of great musical artists this summer to our center

On August 29, over 60 people kicked back with their blankets & refreshments taking in the exquisite talent of jazz vocalist JENNA MAMMINA. Originally from Michigan, Jenna tours the entire country sharing her stuff. We were captured by her beautiful spirit & voice! And in her spare time, she even teaches yoga in St. Joe, MI!

And then there was Brian!

On October 18, BRIAN CUTEAN (aka QTN) stopped over in Saugatuck to entertain and amuse us with his music & stories. A former Austinite, Seattlite, Chicagoan, and these days, Oregonian, the troubadour traveler is a many faceted minstrel, a teller of wild tales filled with wordplay, wonder and powerful and colorful guitar chops, an award-winning songwriter-performer, and an unusual and thoughtful real voice in these days of mass-produced music. Yes! What a trip.

Yoga For Children

KIDS YOGA

START YOUNG!!!

Yoga is for everyone... even children.

On August 16, Kim Vulinovic, a certified YogaKids teacher based out of Oak Park, IL hosted a workshop designed especially for kids. Kim also co-facilitated our 1st YogaKids Workshop with Marsha Wenig, founder of YogaKids (http://www.yogakids.com/) back in June. Our little ones loved it - yogis in the making!!!!!!!

Average Joe Green Workshop

We had a great time at our "Green" workshop. Ken Freestone (shown right) shared a very simple but comprehensive approach to composting, which inspired us to run right home and start our own piles. Dan Broersma (shown left) ran us through an entire average day, giving us tips and suggestions for greening up our entire lives. We left full of information, but not overwhelmed at all, feeling like anyone can do this and make a difference.
